best night ever!!
last night started out like any other night. i went to work. worked. it was slow. finished. came home. sat.
ivan was here. we all sat on our new couch together. like a little family. it was kinda precious. we watched the office. was laughing soooo hard. really funny episode.
we then decided to go to applebees. let the fun begin.
we all got drinks. and appletizers. and then more beer. and then teresa and bethany from hurricane coffee called jake to see if he was doing okay (inside joke i guess) and he told them he was. then suddenly they were there. and we were all squished in our booth and we all ordered another round of beers. and had so much fun laughing. and being rowdy. and hassling tracy. the bill came and we all threw down whatever we had in our purse worthwhile. coffee cards. police cards. health insurance card. rei gift card. hcc gift card. beads of bainbridge island card. and coasters. tracy was shocked at the generous tip we had left her. but at some point i guess teresa had slipped her card in the pile and paid for our food and beers. seriously. so sweet.
so then we all left and decided to go explore the attic of the hcc. we stopped at safeway for blue moon and oranges. and then set off to hcc. now teresa is the owner and had her keys. but her purse was stolen a bit ago and she has no id so she was freaking out that the cops would show up and she has no proof shes the owner. so we all had beers and then went up the ladder into the attic. we all got up and found it to be empty. save one broken umbrella that teresa dragged down before she realized it was broken. i told her they tended to catch flight on windy days.
we also explored the closet. where jake scored a pair of football pants. which he proceeded to try on right then and there. and i was gifted a giant r from the old sign that i now realize i left there. dangit.
so then we all sort of settled down and sat around in the back rooms talking. drinking beer. and sharing stories.
i really like teresa and bethany. i would love to work there again. its just so much fun with them. anyways...so we finally decide around 2am that we should call it a night. poor teresa had to be back at work by 6 this morning. ivan had already left so jake, jess, and i walked home.
i get home and realized i pulled a kassie. no phone. left it at the store. whoops. so now i need to go get that this morning...so i get ready for bed, and off to slumber land i head with a heavy head of beer.

i had the more realistic dream ever and woke up so sad it wasnt real. i really was convinced it was.
i dreampt i went to walmart with jake and there...outside, playing their hearts out...were the avett brothers. i immediately freaked out and went straight over to watch them sing. i was singing along...and apparentely everyone in sequim has no clue who tehy are because there were like four people standing around them...and jake and i were the only ones who knew their songs. but they finished a song. and starting talking to me. scott was like, "hey thanks for listeing...whats your name?" and i told him and we sort of struck up a convo. and suddenly i was like, "scott i have to take a picture of you on my phone to send to my bff kassie. she will not believe this" so we took a picture together and the damn phone wouldnt send...so then i found myself inviting the whole band over to my house for dinner. and suddenly we are all at our house. in the back yard. with a camp fire and they were playing for us. tom was having a great time listening. i was still freaking out. i kept trying to send you the photo but it wouldnt work. but i remember getting so excited and finding a picture of you on my phone and saying, this is kassie...she loves your music too. shes the reason i listened to you. and they were like, WE KNOW HER!! WE REMEMBER HER!! she comes to all our seattle shows!! and i was sooo excited they knew you. well then we all decided we were hungry and we should go get dinner so we all started to pile into cars. i ended up with seth and joe in my car and we decided to take the long way to the restaurant because we wanted to explore the town....and race anyone who was willing to race. we got to the restaurant which was ely's....and we all got out of the car and walked in. we met up with everyone else and ordered. we decided right then and there that we were going to make this a new stop for shows. and then...mom flung open my bedroom door this morning and i was awake. and i realized it was a dream....
and i was sooooo sad. seriously kass. i was so convinced i met them.
but it still was the best night ever.

my night as a 23 year old going on 40.
i have been so very very busy this weekend. i am just now getting the time to stop and just breathe. sat night i worked at the old mill as a waitress. which is now my new position there. i have succeeded in becoming a waitress. so i worked sat night and we were fairly busy. kept me on my toes at least. i made some cash in tips which was exciting but i got off work feeling the desire to do something.
i knew no one was available such short notice at 11:00 at night, so i went to applebees by myself. i was that girl. the girl alone at the bar. but gerrad was working so it wasnt bad at all. i sat and talked to him for and hour. then he asked me to go to the casino with him when he got off work...which was around 1am. i said yes. i wanted to be social for once, to be young and say who needs sleep. at this point let me tell you i had to be at work at 9am the next morning for my 6 hour workday and had also foolishly agreed to work a double and thus had to also work 5:00-9:00pm but alas i went with him to the casino where i lost all of my tip money i had worked so hard to make earlier and we played until 2...which confused me because i looked at my phone right before we left and it was almost 2, and then as i got into my car i checked it again to set the alarm for morning and saw it was suddenly 3am. i had forgot daylight savings. yikes! so technically it was three am. and i still had to be at work at 9am. i immediately regretted my choice to come out...so i drove home sleepily and climbed into bed assuring myself that five hours of sleep would be enough and i would just be tired at work the next day...then i got a call. my dear little brother whom we all know i love and adore asks me to come pick him up. he was a little drunk and felt really sick and needed a ride. i asked him where he was...the animal house. thats in port angeles. thats a thirty minute drive one way.....i said yes. so here i was, at 3:30 in the morning changing out of my pajamas to go pick up my little brother in pa. oh how much i was regretting this night. i went to pa and picked him up and then drove us both home as he fell asleep in the passenger seat. poor thing felt horrible. by the time i got home, changed back into my pajamas and light off i looked at the clock to see it was 4:45 am. my alarm clock was set for 7:30. this was a sad thing.
skip to 7:30 am. i wake from my slumber to a chiming (my alarm) and sit up groggy eyed with a pounding headache. this was going to be a long day. i slowly made my way inside to take a shower hoping it would help bring me from this stupor i was in. no such luck. i got dressed for work and sat around trying to keep myself from falling back to sleep. five minutes later i get a call. can i come in now? (8:40)
i get to the restaurant dreading working and knowing getting called in means it will be slammed when i get there...so let the games begin. i pull up...there are no cars. why am i here? needless to say courtney thought i should be there in case it got busy so i sat around trying to find things to do to keep myself busy. 10am hit and all hell broke loose. we had a table of 15 show up as well as a table of 9 show up. then several parties of 4, 5, and 7. within 15 minutes every table at the restaurant was filled at all practically at the same time. i spent the better half of the next hour getting waters, drink orders, making coffee, and clearing plates. not even having a chance to help either waitress with my usual things. the party of 15's food orders somehow got mixed up and it took nearly 40 minutes to get all of their food out. but by 11:45 both large parties had eaten and left. and left a war zone to clean up. that was the moment kris the waitress came up and told me that a party of 12 had just called and needed a table in fifteen minutes...as well as another party of 9. i wanted to cry. suddenly 5 different couples of 2 came into the restaurant and again all hell broke loose.
we went nonstop from 10am until 2:30pm with so many people that at no time during those hours was there an empty table. i had consumed 4 cups of coffee that morning and no food so around 1 i thought i was going to pass out. orange juice became my new friend. anything to keep my blood sugar levels up.
i got off work close to 4. and came home wanting to cry.. i was sooo exhausted and sore and dizzy. i hadnt eaten anything and felt so sick. i went straight out to my room and sat down on the bed. (i was supposed to be back at work in an hour) but then my phone beeped. my darling dave (the chef and my boss) had heard from jake about my night and heard how busy we had been that morning and made it his goal to find someone else to work that night. so i get a text telling me he had the night covered and to go to bed. i could have cried i was so happy. jake had made up for the night before by getting me that night shift off. so i fell asleep almost immediately and woke up an hour later, starving, headache still there and still tired.
i came inside to eat dinner. it was salmon and tuna. i hate both.
no dinner for me. no food at all.
i went back out to sleep.
i woke again to find mother had made me a waffle with strawberries. it was perfection.
i fell asleep and woke this morning around 11:30am.
how pathetic am i? im almost 24 years old and i cant even stay up all night without my body practically shutting down. i am so lame. i will never be a successful partier.
but you know what? i am okay with this.
i had my night of craziness.
and you know what? i cant wait to get back to my old routine of going to bed by eleven. give me a good book or movie and i will be perfectly content.

on friday i went to see alice in wonderland with my "extended family" aka. boo, mal, kassie, and amelia. it was such a good movie. i loved every minute of it. amelia did so good as well. she sat watching the whole thing (minus the 3d glasses which i still cant see how that didnt make her so sick.) afterwards i got to take the lovely amelia apple home for a sleepover. and what a great adventure it was!
amelia brought her baby taryn doll with her and from there the adventure began...

beach day with the pup.
i love beach days with this lil pokie puppy. car trips are our new favorite thing.
okay kassie...i wont lie to you...my heart loves these rings...very much.
i want so many of these pieces of jewelry....and it just so happens that my birthday is coming up..and i wear a size 8 ring....just saying...
however...you will have to figure out what the hell this website says....
because i really love this ring.
and definetely this one...
i love all the alice necklaces...
this too has brought me much joy...i think i love this the most...the minnie...
i wont lie though...all of these just put a smile on my face...do you so love them too??
