it have been over a month since i posted last. i can't believe how much time escapes me these days. i have been busy working at the restaurant hoping summer would end and things would slow down. i am so ready for fall. for cold mornings. blustery afternoons with the rain pelting the windows as i sit with a book by the window. homemade applesauce, scarves, and cold noses. fall is by far my favorite season. i love it so much, i am ready for it. more then anything.

i have spent all morning looking up cute things to share with you all....i hope you enjoy them.

so i havent written in a very long time and for that i apologize. i wish i could say i have been busy busy busy. but its not entirely true. for lack of a better explanation....i just stopped feeling the desire to blog. i have felt uninspired...but have been reading other peoples blogs daily. i have been collecting so many ideas and sites and have just been too lazy to post them. so i shall begin now.

we are getting ready to go camping this weekend. it is the hanna family reunion which occurs once every two years. so i am very excited. i was raised in a family that is very close so this means a lot to all of us. my cousins aunts uncles and extended family is some of my closest friends. so i cant wait to spend the weekend with them.

this is as close to a vacation that i am going to get this year too (even though being honest i havent "gone on a vacation" in several years) but i sure want to go on one.

joanna goddard of a cup of jo blog posted a great post about her family vacation on the hudson river..and i will not lie..i am itching to go on a similar vacation...

happy monday! what are you doing on this fine and glorious day? are you enjoying the sun like i am? well, part sun. but still. its light. and thats what i will focus on. Gabby is here!! HOORAY!! its so fun having her visit! I literally feel like i have known her forever. (even though technically i have only hung out with her for a total of 5 days)Its just so fun having her visit.

I have been doing a shopping search today. internet window shopping that is. i have about six different websites with shopping carts loaded up and of course no money to buy them. but there is something exciting about picking the stuff out and putting in the cart. its almost like i have them....almost.

a few things i have stumbled on that i wish upon wish i could buy are:

this AMAZING plate! i want a set of four for dinner parties.

i have needed a rug for my bedroom for awhile. this one has stolen my heart. it may be a bit large for my room...but i could make it work....

i loooove these shoes. i bet they are the most comfortable shoes ever.

iceland video

this is so beautiful. how could anyone not want to live in iceland? its so magical. i mean, they leave airplanes lying around that make the landscape even more so haunting and wonderful.

let me tell you...i am quite in love with iceland.

a tea party event!

planning a party could very well be one of my favorite things EVER! I have a feeling i will be that mother that goes WAY overboard for my childrens birthdays. i just love picking a theme and going cra-zy!

so the latest party twould be iggy's. now i know that i am not even planning this, but i cant help but get excited. right now in front of me i have a list of things to track down for his party. i have already made a facebook event page with details and trying to get people to dress up. i am researching how to make an alice in wonderland dress for amelia.

and i just have so much fun.

mallory. i am so sorry if i am doing too much. i seriously will do nothing if you want to do this yourself. i know what its like to have someone take over a party. and i dont want to do that. but if you would like...i have several ideas...

*find tags and write "drink me" to attach to coca cola glass bottles or other beverage.
*find glass boxes at goodwill or serenity shops to place "eat me" cookies in.
*kassie volunteered to make "eat me" cupcakes for the party
*playing cards table place cards. saw these on amazon. thought they would be perfect!


this site is also giving me so many ideas!! so at this point i have sunday-tuesday off work mal. can we get together and start crafting some of this stuff?! i will help you make invitations to mail out. wouldnt that be so perfect?! i mean, i know we have the event page. but there is something about getting a hand written invitation that is so perfect. i will look at doodlebugs for stuff to make the invitations out of.

actually i am off to doodlebugs right now...ill price some things.

*bought tags for "drink me/eat me"
*have small($2.99) and medium($3.99) paint cans...PERFECT to fill with red paint and place around table.
*have clock hands ($4.99) which would go perfect on handmade clocks that read "tea time"
*metal keys and locks ($10.99) a bit steep. but it gave me great ideas...we need one key to place a tag on that says "open me"
*the PERFECT red envelopes for invitations($.39 ea.)

the carnival.

i took last thursday off and went to the carnival with the wilton family, kassie, and jake. the kids had so much fun. we had so much fun. this is one of my favorite traditions.

amelia came over for the day and we walked over to the street fair. well, papa walked. amelia rode. it was a fun afternoon.

moving day

i know this post is about three weeks too late. but i havent gotten internet at our apartment yet, and thus using the computer is now limited.
this is from moving day. jake helped us move. it was a fun adventurous day.
(although from these pictures it doesnt really look like he helped..he defintely did)

if you can believe it..we showed up and kassie had loaded these into the truck herself. kassie was yelling at him to keep his feet off the mattress..



we had to drive around with my mattress strapped to the top of janet and had a giant strap that kept our foreheads very secure. i couldnt stop laughing at jake. he could barely move his head hes so tall...

so i decided to take all of my pictures on my phone and move them to my new laptop. i was looking through them and couldnt help but smile. there were so many of amelia..and it made me realize just how much i love amelia. i smiled at every picture of her. she has stolen my heart completely. i would do anything for her. i just love being around her. i love our sleepovers. i live for them. i love just walking around the store with her. or watching her play with toys. i love how she calls me beppy. and how she is so excited to see me too. i have to thank mallory for allowing me the oppurtunity to have amelia in my life. she is my world. thank you mallory. for sharing her with me.

i know i went on picture overload here..but i hate having pictures and not using them. sharing them. and every picture here makes me smile. makes me laugh. reminds me of certain days together. and the video. it cracks me up each time i watch it.
